Found Poem

            There are guavas at the shop an save. I pick one the size of a tennis ball and finger the prickly stem end. The guavas bushes grow close to the ground, their branches laden with green then yellow fruit that seem to ripen overnight .We raided the bushes as soon as guavas were large enough to bend the branch. A green guava is sour and hard. You bite into it and seeds crunching inside your head. While the inside of your mouth explodes in little spurts of sour. Your eyes water, and you finish the green ripped guava , but you go for more and more, to enjoy that acid taste in your mouth and the gritty texture of the unripe center. I had my last guava. It smelled so good i didn’t want to eat it, but i did. The last green guava i had was the best ripen guava i had. It had did sour acid taste and it smelled so good.

ELA STUDENT ASSESSMENT ESSAY

                  Digital privacy should be a expection in the 21st century. Why I personally think its going to be expected because a lot of people are not going to like that other people are collecting your data just to find terrorist. Most of the people are going to feel that the government is invading there privacy. Some people might just not like that idea and other people just think that collecting data from us goes to far. If I was giving my opinion then I would agree that this collecting data does go far, but also think it a good thing because there are trying to find terrorist. As long as they don't take it to far then it is right know then im good that they are trying to find terrorist.
                                  So many people might agree with me to about this collecting data idea. Other people might say it goes far and other people might say its right. They think its right because they trying to find terrorist, but also agree with me because it goes to far not only they want to collect data they wanted to collect telephone records and a lot of people think it goes to far. The last page #7 where it says "is this legal"? The second sentence sentences it supports my opinion because it clearly says that "As well as privacy advocates and lawmakers this data collection idea goes to far." The same thing I said just that to other people agree with me lawmakers and privacy advocates. Even though I think this goes to far and the government shouldn't be watching are private things they do have the right to look through are private things because there trying to find terrorist and I mean its the government he could do it even if people don't want to that's why a lot of people should be expecting digital privacy in the 21st century.
                              Even though this data collection goes to far and also the other things they want to find terrorist. I think this thin is a good thing because there trying to find terrorist. Its just something I really can like agrre in it because it invading are personal privacy , but yet trying to find terrorist. So its a good thing and a bad thing for me. Not only for me but for the lawmaker and privacy adovocates and also other people that disagree with this and also agree with this.
                         If this data collection or telephone record goes far then not only me but a lot of people are going to be expecting digital privacy. What im seeing is that in the data collection paper, the first page #4 "what happens to the telephone records?" letter a , its says that " our data cant be access unless a judge gives approval in a national security investigation.". Which is good because if your like me that think this goes to far , but yet its a good thing because there trying to get terrorist. They will can only view your data collection or telephone record and more if its approve by a judge and if the "government can show reasonable suspicion that they are relevant to terrorist activity". Which also is good because there not taking to far then it is now and the law makers and privacy advocates and other people like me don't have to worry about it.
                       Long to shorts I think digital privacy should be expected for the people that don't like other people looking through there private data. But if you do want the government to look at your data and you don't mind it then don't be expecting digital privacy in the 21st century.

Final Last Chance To Past: Hunger of Memory & An American Story

      Hunger of Memory is a story written about this little boys inspired about his childhood. He wrote this story because he started school only knowing fifty words in English. He was the only Spanish speaker in his class. At this school called Scared Heart School in Sacramento California. This story began in his early boyhood. Where his parents managed very well in America.  His father had a good job and his mother managed the house they lived in . Long to short this story was also about they not being welcomed were they lived and being not wanted from the people that lived there. But they got over that and continued there lives there lives there even if they were stil not wanted they achieved it. Lastly this story was also about how the little boy remembered how he used to be the only one knowing  Spanish and a little English. Also how he remembered the intimidating sounds of English spoken from people in the streets were he lived. This is why I say that this storys theme is public lives vs private lives.

     An American story is based on this family immigrating because the Vietnam war that began in the 1950s and ended 1975. This war was pretty long if you tell me. This war was about the Vietnam and the united state trying to unsuccessfully preventing the communist of North Vietnam from taking over South Vietnam. The story began in thanksgiving weekened. When this ten year old Vietnamese boy arrived to the country as a refugee. If you don’t know what the word refugee means it means a person who has been force to leave there country in order to escape persecution or natural disaster. The boy was with his family. His mother, his four sisters and a brother.  This family goes through a lot of thing in there way. They were called the Vietnam boat people. They travelled in boats to get where they were heading. Long story to short the family was escaping. At a point each of the people in that family got separated. The first remembered left behind were Viet Dinhs father and Phong dinh. Phong dinh was on the run because he escaped from the camp. His wife and children had left . Long story to short the family gets to reunite after  fifteen years of not hearing anything about each other.  This is why the theme for this story I think was some people go through immigrating and is really hard and dangerous. On what some people do to get a better life. It is a big risk that they take. The risk they can take is either not making it They getting caught by the patrol boats. Or because of food. These are risk they take not be healthy enough.

       These two stories had things not so common. Like I said each of these stories have different themes for me. One storys theme was public lives vs private lives .The other storys theme was about immigrating and taking a big risk in there lives. Something these to stories I think they had in common is that they both had something to do with there own family. Also that they go through bad things in there lives. Lastly these to stories finished with a good ending not a bad ending even though they been through not so good things in there lives.

Describing a Event

              My winter break begin on a beautiful Saturday. No school like any other Saturday, but there was also no school for three weeks because of winter break. Yay! No school for three week don't have to worry on putting on my alarm so early. Got to rest and spend the time with my cousins, friends and the rest of my family all winter break
.
   Well before Christmas day what I usually did was pretty much the same thing I usually do. I did my chores, shower and then I go out  if I needed to. That week I went  out to  the mall to go Christmas shopping. My mom, my two sister and my aunt all went to the mall. We all went to go by our Christmas presents. Also my cousins presents and also my aunts an uncles presents.

 So when we got at the mall we went inside my favorite store to buy my gift for Christmas. I got some jeans from this store called Q. Then I went to my other favorite store to see what else I wanted and I got this pretty white sweater from H&M. Then my auntie said to choose what else I wanted for Christmas and I did. She gave me choices. The three choices were to get either boots, clothes or shoes for school. I ended up choosing the boots.

   So we went to my favorite boot store called Cathy Jean. So we entered and I tried on 4 pair of boots until I finally choose the boots I wanted. There were theses high knee boots, color black. Well we were finally done buying my Christmas presents then we went on to buying my sisters presents and my brothers presents.

   My sisters got clothes and also boots like me and my parents bought my brother some clothes to for his work. Then we stop it was around 6 and went to grab something to eat. So after we ate we kept on looking for clothes to buy my cousins for Christmas. So we kept on looking and we bought my cousin clothes and my aunt bought things for her sisters and we got to a point that we were done buying Christmas presents.
   Pretty much everyone from my family got clothes and we were all happy that day of Christmas that we got clothes. Its something little that we got everyone and something they should appreciate because a gift is a gift. And not everyone gets to get a present on Christmas day because they don't have enough money. Or not doing well at work that people cant afford to buy Christmas presents because they barely have enough money for food.

  So Christmas day was over and it was a few days before New Years . Before New years we went to this birthday party. Then New Years was here and we celebrated with making tamales and other kind of food. We were all together as family celebrating the New Year. Then after New Years what we did was rest a while because we went to sleep late and then we went to my cousins that couldnt come on new years day or Christmas because they had visitors over there house on  New Years and also Christmas day. Then lastly the last day of vacation came and it was my little sister birthday. We celebrated her birthday and my cousins came and also my parents friends. The next day I got up very early got dressed prepared my school supplies and headed to school.

Well this essay you will start  reading about online interaction/communication. One part of this will talk about how youth interacts with digital media. That is going to be one topic of this assessment because in the 21 century technology was changing the way people communicate with each other .

They were more into using online media instead talking face to face. 

Today people in are community do connect a lot in online media. It really hasn't change today like it has change in the 21st century. People here are either using it for homework, research, or for work. And other then that people also use it to communicate with people. To meet new people also. They use Facebook, Instagram , or twitter. People use some type of social media to communicate with people by chating not by actually talking to that person face to face. 

        So like I said people use facebook to chat with friends. They interact with people by messaging each other. And the internet became more use ful for a lot of people . They do things they cant do if the internet didn't work. And thing they would want to do really fast. Lastly they can work faster then they do using books. So I don't think parents should worry about there children being in the computer because they do use it for thing they need at school.

    This is what i thing of the taming of the shrew. And also what the movie is about. And also giving my opinion on this film to tell if it is recommendable.

    Well in the begging of this movie it was hard to get what they were talking about well for me it was my honest opinion. And it was also kind of boring for me in the beginng. You might or might nlot like this film but its up to you to see the film to say something about it.
 
  After awhile of watching this movie I got interested in it . I started to like it because in a point of this film it bring the best out of people. What I mean by that is that for example in this film Katherine didn’t like peturcho, she was always mean and rude to him. And she was only mean to him no one else. But in one point Katherine started being nice to people she brought the best out of her instead of the worst of her because she could be mean.
    The reason why she was mean to peturcho was because she was jealous of her sister. The reason why shewas jealous was because her sister was the one that got everything she was the one that all the guys and other people called her pretty and I have a feeling she was felling left out cause her sister got everthing and she didn’t .
 
   Lastly I did like this film. Yes I will recommend this film to the people that want to see it. But like I said my honest opinion in the beginng it was boring for me but later on it does get instresting.

                           AUTOBIOGRAPHY!!                

        My autobiography is going to talk about how my life starts since I was a little girl. Also going to talk about how I want teachers to teach us. And lastly I will be talking about when I first started going to school.

       When I first started school I went to Saturn Street Elementary School. I started Pre-k until I graduated from 5th grade.  Then I went to middle school. I went to Emerson Ralph Waldo Middle School I started 6th grade  until I walk stage from 8th grade. Know I started high school. I go to Fair fax High School know. I'm a 9th grade and right know I think its boring. I really miss my friends that I use to talk to, but they go to University  High school. But maybe after a while its not going to be so boring. Just have to give it time I mean its high school what do we expect.

      Know ill be talking to you about what I like and other things about my life. I was born in Los Angles California in this hospital called Ciders Sinai. Like i  said I started school and know im in 9th grade. I'm  going to start by telling what I would like to be when I grow up. What I will like to be when I grow up is a social worker to help families with there problems and to make everything better. You need alot of patients for that work and I think i can handle it very well.

      Lastly  im going to talk about how i want teachers to treat us. I want teachers to treat us with recpect. If they want respect from us they should give it to us to . Thats all i have to say about teachers.
